Description

This webinar concentrates on the specific duties of a lawyer in cases involving high client emotions and high conflict. We'll discuss strategies for realistic case evaluation, client communication, and additional provisions that can help lawyers abide by fiduciary obligations to their clients. The session will also touch on the obligations of ethical billing and the ways poor billing habits can destroy client confidence. We'll talk through the milestones in a typical divorce, conservatorship and support, best practices to ensure success, civility, and the most common warning signs and mistakes in family law and how to address them.

State Bar of Idaho Credit Statement

There is 1.0 hour of CLE credit, of which 1.0 hour is for General credit, which includes .5 for Ethics. You will receive the activity number on your certificate, issued upon completion.


Indiana Credit Statement

There is 1.0 hour of CLE credit, of which 1.0 hours General credit, which includes .5 Ethics credit. You will receive the activity number on your certificate, issued upon completion.


Maine Credit Statement

There is 1.0 hour of CLE credit, of which 1.0 hours is General credit, including .5 hours Ethics credit.  You will receive the activity number on your certificate, issued upon completion.


State Bar of Missouri Credit Statement

There are 1.2 hours of CLE credit, of which 1.2 hours are General credit, which includes .6 hours Ethics.  You will receive the activity number on your certificate, issued upon completion.


State Bar of New York (under Approved Jurisdiction Policy)

This activity may qualify for up to 1.2 hour toward your annual CLE requirement for the State Bar of New York, of which 1.2 hours is General credit, which includes .6 hours Ethics, according to the Approved Jurisdiction Policy of New York​.


State Bar of Pennsylvania Credit Statement

There is 1.0 hour of CLE credit, of which 1.0 hour is for General credit, which includes .5 for Ethics. 


State Bar of Rhode Island Credit Statement (Note: Sponsor has not requested course accreditation)

This activity may qualify for up to 1.2 hour toward your annual CLE requirement for the State Bar of Rhode Island, including 1.2 hours General credit, which may include up to .6 hours Ethics.

Claude E. Claude has served as course director and creator of numerous CLE institutes and advanced courses. 

Mr. Ducloux has a long legacy of bar service, including being President of the Austin Bar Association, and serving as Chair of almost every major bar-related entity, as well as the Texas Bar Foundation.  He is a board-certified civil trial and appellate attorney in Texas.
